बॉम्बे स्टॉक एक्सचेंज (बीएसई) और अन्य प्रमुख भारतीय शेयर बाजार 17 जून 2024 को ईद-अल-अधा (बकरीद) के अवसर पर बंद रहेंगे। यह अवकास बीएसई के बाजार अवकाश कैलेंडर के अनुसार है। इसके अलावा, मल्टी-कमोडिटी एक्सचेंज (एमसीएक्स) केवल शाम के सत्र के लिए संचालित होगा।

ईद-अल-अधा के अलावा, भारतीय शेयर बाजार वर्ष 2024 में कई अन्य महत्वपूर्ण अवसरों पर भी बंद रहेंगे। इनमें मुहर्रम (17 जुलाई), स्वतंत्रता दिवस (15 अगस्त), महात्मा गांधी जयंती (2 अक्टूबर), दिवाली (1 नवंबर), गुरु नानक जयंती (15 नवंबर), और क्रिसमस (25 दिसंबर) शामिल हैं। यह सूची बीएसई के द्वारा जारी की गई है, लेकिन इसके अनुसार ज्यादातर अवसरों पर बाजार बंद रहेंगे। इन तिथियों पर बाजार में कोई लेनदेन नहीं होगा।

छुट्टी से पहले भारतीय शेयर बाजार के मानक इक्विटी सूचकांक, बीएसई सेंसेक्स और एनएसई निफ्टी, लगातार दूसरे सत्र के लिए रिकॉर्ड ऊंचाई पर बंद हुए। बीएसई सेंसेक्स 181 अंकों (0.24%) की वृद्धि के साथ 76,993 पर पहुंच गया, जबकि एनएसई निफ्टी 67 अंकों (0.29%) की वृद्धि के साथ 23,465 पर पहुंच गया।
